How does a custom pet portrait work?

Choose your favourite portrait style and format, then send us a clear photo of your pet. We transform the photo into personalised artwork created especially for your order.

Will I see the artwork before it is printed?

Yes. For personalised portrait products, we prepare a digital proof for you to review before a physical print, frame or canvas moves into production.

What styles can I choose from?

Our core Custom Pet Art collection includes Watercolour Portraits, Pet Memorial Portraits, Royal Pet Portraits, Pet & Owner Portraits and our Paint Your Pet Paint-by-Numbers kit.

What photo should I upload?

A bright, sharp, high-resolution photo gives the best result. Try to choose an image where your pet’s face, ears and distinctive markings are clearly visible. Avoid blur, heavy filters and very dark photos.

Can you create a portrait with more than one pet?

Yes. Our Pet & Owner Portrait option is designed for multiple subjects, including two or more pets, a pet and owner, couples with pets, or family combinations.

Can you combine separate photos?

For Pet & Owner portraits, separate photos may be used to create one combined artwork. Clear images with similar lighting and angles generally produce the most natural result.

What can I add to a memorial portrait?

You can personalise a memorial portrait with your pet’s name and optional dates. Subtle memorial details such as a halo or floral accents may also be available depending on the design selected.

Is the Royal Portrait a real painting?

The Royal Portrait is personalised artwork created from your pet’s photo in a playful Renaissance-inspired style. Check the product format you select at checkout to see whether you are ordering digital artwork or a physical framed version.

What is Paint Your Pet?

Paint Your Pet is our custom Paint-by-Numbers experience. Instead of receiving a finished portrait, you receive a numbered canvas, matching acrylic paints and brushes so you can paint your own personalised artwork.

Do I need painting experience for the Paint Your Pet kit?

No. The numbered canvas is designed to guide you step by step. The important thing to remember is that this product is a DIY painting kit — the customer completes the painting.

How long does a personalised order take?

Timing depends on the product and destination. Portrait artwork needs time for custom creation and approval, while physical products also require production and shipping. Paint-by-Numbers custom kits have their own production timeline. Please check the relevant product page and our Shipping & Delivery information before ordering for a time-sensitive gift.

Do you offer free shipping?

Our current shipping policy includes free tracked shipping on eligible orders and destinations. Please review our Shipping & Delivery page for the latest destination and timing details.

Can personalised products be returned?

Because personalised products are made specifically for you, they generally cannot be returned for change of mind once production has begun. Damaged, defective or incorrect items are handled according to our Refund Policy and applicable consumer law.

Can I give a portrait as a gift?

Absolutely. Pet portraits are especially meaningful for birthdays, anniversaries, new pet parents, Christmas, housewarmings and remembrance gifts.
