How long does a personalised order take?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the product. Custom pet portraits: your artwork is ready in minutes and you approve it before paying, then printing takes 2–3 business days. Australian delivery is 3–5 business days standard ($11, free over $100) or 1–2 business days express ($15); and we also ship printed portraits to New Zealand, the UK, the US, Canada and Europe — international delivery is 3–5 business days ($20), because portraits are printed locally in your region. In Brazil, unframed poster portraits are available. Digital portraits are emailed as soon as your order is processed, with nothing to ship. Paint by Numbers kits: you preview your canvas design before paying, then each kit is made to order — production takes 3 days. Kits ship free to Australia, New Zealand and the UK, and delivery takes 14–30 days once your kit is made; we email your tracking number as soon as it ships. Kits therefore take considerably longer to arrive than a printed portrait, so if your order is a gift for a particular date, please order well ahead and check our Shipping & Delivery page below.

What's the difference between a Paint by Numbers kit and a Custom Pet Portrait?

A Paint by Numbers kit is a DIY product. Your canvas arrives outlined and numbered, along with paints and brushes, and you paint it yourself. A Custom Pet Portrait is the opposite — we create the finished artwork and send it to you complete. You never pick up a brush.

What comes in a Paint by Numbers kit?

A personalised canvas outlined and numbered from your photo, pre-mixed acrylic paints matched to your design, three paintbrushes in different sizes, and a printed reference image with a colour guide. Framing is included when you choose the framed option.

Can I really do this if I have never painted before?

Accepted Answer

Yes — that is exactly who these kits are made for. Each area of the canvas is numbered and matched to a pot of paint, so there is no colour mixing and no drawing. The 24-colour option is the most beginner-friendly, and you can put it down and come back to it whenever you like.

What makes a good photo?

Accepted Answer

Good, even light, your pet facing roughly toward the camera, and a face that fills a decent part of the frame. Send the original file rather than a screenshot if you can. Very dark, blurry or distant photos give us less detail to work with, and we will let you know if we think another photo would work better.

What happens after I upload my photo?

We prepare your personalised design from your photo, then share a preview with you. Nothing is printed or painted until you have seen it.

What are the framed and unframed options?

Unframed kits arrive as a rolled canvas, so you can frame the finished painting however suits your home. Framed kits arrive ready to hang once you have finished painting.

What sizes and colour counts can I choose?

Accepted Answer

Canvases come in 40 × 50 cm and 50 × 70 cm. You can choose 24 or 36 colours. Fewer colours means larger, simpler areas to paint; more colours means finer detail and a longer, more absorbing project.

Can you include more than one pet, or people too?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Send a photo with everyone in it — pets, people, or both — and we will keep the whole group together in the design.
